In the mid 40’s, Stan Schrank was born in Whitewater, Wisconsin. He lived there until he met Marian in 1963 who was going to college at WhitewaterStateUniversity. Married two years later, they moved to Belvidere, Illinois where Stan worked at the Chrysler Assembly Plant and Marian worked as a Secretary for Sunstrand Machine Tool. They moved to California in l969 after going through a tornado in the Midwest. In 1971 their daughter Cathy was born and in 1974 their son Curt was born. In San Diego, Stan worked for various car dealerships as an automotive technician. Marian worked in management with a Government contractor. Stan had always dreamed of owning a Corvette – finally in 2004, Marian gave in and told him to enjoy himself after so many years of working. Then, Curt and his family moved to Phoenix and wanted Stan and Marian to go along – too HOT. Cathy and her family moved to Bend in 2006. On October 15, 2006, both Stan and Marian retired and immediately moved to Bend. They love it here in Bend with making so many new friends. They also love being members of the HighDesert Corvette Club – such a friendly group!! |
