Rich & Barbara Morton

Rich is a born Oregonian, from Tillamook to Cannon Beach and Seaside where he grew up. Guided horses for fifty cents a ride down to Haystack Rock for a stable in Cannon Beach. During High School years in Seaside is where Rich got a hold of his first love for cars, it was a 1968 Dodge Coronet R/T. Did lots of midnight engine work in his parent’s garage and enjoyed having fun racing at the Portland International Raceway. After logging, Navy 4yrs, and almost twenty years of working for Pacific Power in management I took a job as a salesperson for a Telecommunications Company which he enjoys today and it has been his best job ever! After moving to Redmond he purchased his first horse and has had trained many since. After the sudden loss of his favorite horse he decided to turn back to his love for cars. And now owns his favorite car of all and has a great club of friends who enjoys their toys as he does.

Barb is a Californian, grew up in El Segundo where she got of hold of her first love for horses. As a little girl and after months and years of begging, crying for a horse her parent’s final bought her one. Has had a horse ever since! Loves horses so much she rides everyday in her open arena out back. Barb enjoys Reining Competition. Barb and Rich have been all over the Northwest with Barb’s horse Guatamuffet in national reining shows. Barb owns three horses, a sorrel filly and her newest a bay colt is from Guatamuffet. Barb now is starting to enjoy the Corvette as well, and also enjoys going on trips with all of the great people in the club. But understand this… she will never give up her ponies as Rich did. When it is her time to be a different kind of angel, she has said many times, she hopes she is on the back of a horse!

Thanks for having the both of us in your High Desert Corvette Club!
