Henry and Joan came to HDCC September, 2005. Henry was impressed with the articles he had read about C-5 Corvettes. Their ’ s is a 2000 white coupe that they love to drive.
Henry was born in Alberta , Canada , has 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He loves cars, likes to travel and golf. A true retiree!
Joan was born in Portland , OR . has 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Henry and Joan met during the 8 th grade at Powellhurst Elementary School , E. Portland . They lived within a ½ block of each other. They both graduated from David Douglas High School , Portland . They began dating each other soon after graduating from DDHS, were married a year and half later. Today that makes 48 years of marital bliss ! !
They have 4 adult-children, 5 grand-children and 1 great-grandson. They began construction of their retirement home at Eagle Crest Resort in 2000, was completed in 2001. They sold their Air Cargo business and retired in 2004. Henry has always loved cars, having owned numerous types, including Porches, Jaguars, and numerous other Vintage American Cars. They currently have a ’ 55 Chevy Street Rod, a ’ 37 Ford Tudor Street Rod, both with updated Chevy 350/engines/transmissions, PS, Disk Brakes, etc.. They really enjoy the modern technology of their 2000 Corvette Coupe. Together they also love RV ’ g in their Diesel Pusher 40' Holiday Rambler Motor Home.
